The Source

Cat Clark

Author of Fat Bitch: Killing the Willpower Myth. A real person. Also a recurring character. One of the sources our receipts cite.

Cat Clark is an author published by UNLIT Publishing in Lansing, Michigan. She wrote Fat Bitch: Killing the Willpower Myth, a book about what metabolic medicine actually knows about hunger, satiety, and the machinery that overrides both.

She occupies two positions here at once, and it is worth keeping them apart. In the satire she is a recurring character: the Lansing author on the lawn with the bullhorn, reading the ingredient list. That character is a fiction, like everything else in a dispatch.

When a Receipt draws on her books, she is a citation, by name and chapter, filed next to the research and news reports our other receipts cite. If you quote us, quote the receipt. The credit belongs to the source.
